1. Information we collect

We collect the following information when you use Maria's Memorials:

• Account data: email address, name, phone number.
• Memorial data: loved one's name, dates, biography, photos, videos, audio, niche location.
• Payment data: processed directly by Izipay. We do not store credit card data.
• Usage data: IP address (hashed), device and browser information.

2. How we use your information

• Provide and maintain the digital memorial service.
• Send notifications about condolences, anniversaries and service updates.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Provide customer support via email or WhatsApp.
• Improve our service and user experience.

3. Data sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Izipay: to process payments securely.
• Resend: to send transactional emails.
• Twilio: to send notifications via WhatsApp.
• Cloudflare R2: to store memorial photos, videos and audio.
• Supabase: as our database and authentication service.

4. Public memorials

Memorials are public by default. Anyone with the link or QR code can view the memorial's content (photos, biography, approved condolences). Owner account data (email, phone) is not publicly visible.

5. Condolences

Condolences submitted by visitors include the name provided and the message. The IP address is stored hashed to prevent spam. Condolences require owner approval before becoming visible.

6. Security

We implement security measures to protect your data:

• SSL/TLS encryption on all communications.
• Row Level Security (RLS) in the database.
• Secure authentication via Supabase Auth.
• Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection.
• Payment data processed by Izipay (PCI DSS).

7. Data retention

Your data and memorial content are retained while your subscription is active. If you cancel, the memorial remains accessible until the end of the paid period. After cancellation, data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion.

8. Your rights

Under Peruvian Data Protection Law (Law No. 29733), you have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Rectify inaccurate data.
• Cancel or request the deletion of your data.
• Object to the processing of your data.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and service operation. We also use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar) and advertising pixels (Meta Pixel) to understand how the site is used and to optimize our campaigns. These tools may collect browsing data in anonymized or pseudonymized form. You can configure your browser to block them.

10. Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to update this policy. Changes will be notified by email.
